Hicks, Harrison & Jefferson
An on-going mixed media project where collages are sent as post-cards between myself and two other other artists through the mail. Each piece is scanned at various stages and then posted on the internet creating a digital archive. In many cases, the cards are lost or never delivered, giving even greater meaning to the uniqueness of each stage in the process. The act of not finishing something and allowing art to build out of a collection of chance is a response to the instantaneous aspect of today’s digital world.
