Pathfinder Gallowspire Survivor

I had the chance to work on the Pathfinder game: Gallowspire Survivor as the Art Director and also as concept artist from time to time to set the mood and guides for the artist assigned to the project. This was a very fast and demanding paste production for the art and appreciate a lot the effort of everyone on the team. Above you can see the main key art and the game trailers. Now available in early access on Steam and on the Steamdeck



BIOMES AND ENVIRONMENT

Some quickly made and early concept for the three biomes which included early concept for the props as well for each environment. All environment were modular as from the ground textures to specific assets. We used different colour variation of certain assets to same some production time and reach our production deadlines. Within these contingency we still achieve to create 3 distinctive modular environments.
Characters Designs

An example of the line-up of our characters in 2D. The variation of our low poly 3D models for the characters was based on the design of our key art for various use in our UI. From the character selection screen to our dialogue portrait we used these assets.


Some page from the Art Bible on our 3D characters design with a few guideline for the Models and Materials. The level of details and the scale highly influenced the style and design with a low poly approach so the characters details remain visible at all time.

Since Roguelike and Survivor type of game require a lot of enemies of different shape and size we had to be very creative to produce a lot of variation and models in a very short amount of time. In that regard the level of visible details and colour variation was the key to achieve this goal and meet our production plan.
