An illustrative solution was developed for the album cover artwork for a limited edition re-release of the Rolling Stones, Emotional Rescue album. The design was inspired by John Pasche, the original illustrator of the Rolling Stones lips symbol.
The illustration was crafted using acrylic paint on Canvas. It focuses on the loneliness associated with being lost at sea by making the majority of the artwork open ocean with the only lifeline being the emotional rescue life preserver.
The floating track listing has been carefully crafted to ‘float’ on the waves while drawing your eye to the next relevant track.
