Redesign of a CD/LP for a Band, including the cover, booklet and the compact disk. Choosing Radiohead as my band of choice had given me a great opportunity to explore new techniques and to create something far from the ordinary. Since their music always felt pure and deep to me I wanted to distance myself from the digital world and start off where everything begins.

 

The concept was to create textures of leaves and branches which symbolize the beginning of an idea, the root. An idea is created, it blossoms and turns into something whole but in between there isn’t only success, but also failure, stress and despair.
The whole design evolves around the making of Art & Design. The red thread symbolizes the central theme of an idea.

 

Over a period of a week I collected all different kinds of leaves, branches, textures and dirt. I created a series of prints, which I then scanned and put together into different textures and designs. All the lyrics were written by my friend since she had the dramatic handwritting I was looking for.
