The Cosmo Oil Co. Ltd is very likely very unknown to people like you and me. Created in 1986, it is one of the more younger oil companies in the world, nonetheless Japan. Absorbed into Idemitsu in 2015, it became a sub-brand for diesel and petroleum refineries all throughout Japan, and has had moderate success. They also had what was called the 'Cosmo Oil Racing Team', and had drivers like Eddie Irvine in F3000, and most famously Keiichi Tsuchiya and Chris Kennedy in the aforementioned team's Ford Sierra.

Enter the Ford Mustang. A car with a real-life GT3 variant now soon available, it enters a re-kindling of the Cosmo Oil/Ford partnership from over 30 years ago. With this in mind, a modern Cosmo Oil Ford I feel would be alot more 'brand recognition, and less 1980's abstract. With a certain image the brand emits, the car would take on the actual brand logo itself. The massive red, blue and Teal/Green over the side, as well as the rear wing endplates having the logo branding as well! A return of a foregone legend, in a slightly newer clothes!
