Challenging perception through dynamic art and hidden narratives using light and color.
People use these special filters everyday in their lives. Polarizing films/filters are on LCD screens, smart phones, even on the computer you're using to read this! You know that dark color your screen turns when it's turned off? Of course it's dark because it's not backlit anymore, but if you look closely around the edges, you may be able to see the film. This is the polarizing filter.
If you were to peel this off, you wouldn't be able to see your screen. Because of the light, and because of this film you are able to see high quality and colorful images. Many people have actually taken this filter off in order to make 'private' screens that are only viewable through special glasses. These glasses have a layer of polarizing material on them, that would normally be on your screen. Thus, only you can see what you're doing.
I plan on making narratives based on the concept of perception. Just like there are two sides (and three and four, and more) to every story, I plan on making attractive images that you can still see without special glasses. That's one view. However, once you put the glasses on, the original image is either dramatically changed or enhanced.
