Redcar Steelworks Photograph by Ian West
I was asked if I'd like to collaborate with photographer Ian West, to create the March 2014 cover of NARC. Magazine.
The cover had to fit in with the upcoming extraction festival which was held in the North East, so i decided to create a design that celebrated the steel and iron works within the region and the local landmarks created thanks to these sites.
Ian West captured an image of the Redcar Steel Works with a very dramatic sky as a backdrop, I then hand drew the illustrations and composed them into the photograph, working with the cloud and smoke to give it more dimension.
