Prague is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic. It is the fourteenth-largest city in the European Union. It is also the historical capital of Bohemia.

Prague is home to a number of famous cultural attractions, many of which survived the violence and destruction of 20th-century Europe. Main attractions include the Prague Castle, the Charles Bridge, Old Town Square, the Jewish Quarter, the Lennon Walland Petřín hill.
 
 
Kostel svatého Mikuláše
 
Also called the Saint Nicholas Cathedral is the Baroque church in Lesser Town, Prague. It was built between 1704-1755 on the site where formerly stood a Gothicchurch from the 13th century also dedicated to Saint Nicholas. It has been described as "the most impressive example of Prague Baroque" and "without doubt the greatest Baroque church in Prague and the Dientzenhofers' supreme achievement".
 
 
The Church of Mother of God in front of Týn (in Czech Kostel Matky Boží před Týnem, also Týnský chrám (Týn Church) or justTýn), often translated as Church of Our Lady in front of Týn, is a dominant feature of the Old Town of Prague, Czech Republic, and has been the main church of this part of the city since the 14th century. The church's towers are 80 m high and topped by four small spires.
 
 
The Prague tramway (streetcar) network is the largest such network in the Czech Republic, consisting of 142.4 km (88.5 mi) of track, 931 trams,[1] and 21 daytime routes and 9 night routes with a total route length of 518 km (322 mi). It is operated by Dopravní podnik hlavního města Prahy a.s., a company owned by the City of Prague.
 
 
Prague tram system (including the Petřín funicular) served 324.2 million passengers in 2012, up from 312.9 million passengers in 2011. Prague's first horsecar tram line was opened in 1875, and the first electric tram ran in 1891.
