Oculus - 2023
12x18” - Open Acrylic on wood block print transfer paper.
This project was just something I was experimenting and playing with. It was the first time I had done art in my grandfathers studio. It was a good experience and we both can bond over art. I think the more important part of this piece is the context. I really appreciate being able to bond in this way and use their supplies. I think this painting was an expression of our conversation about our family and the plans we have to help them. I was inspired by Klimt and he is my favorite of the impressionist. I usually just free paint and then carve out what realistic images I see. This is very similar to the eye painting I did of art in the park.
Thanks enjoy
