Everything is a remix, and nothing is original, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t create something extraordinary. The aim of this project was to prove precisely that argument by using an intellectual property and attempting to market it during a different era. The Arts and Crafts movement was utilised in the adaptation of the 1994 version of Disney’s “The Lion King”. Apart from the attractive colours and intricate decorations, the reason this particular style was chosen was to revive old practices and the labour-intensive techniques that artists used to create complex backgrounds to represent subjects in the early stages of graphic design.
