This is my second and final diploma work called "After-Image" (pl. "Powidok")
Is about locking up in the three-dimentional space a time between destruction or changing and the current state of being. I focused at incidents from my hometown's history. I remember some of the places,  people and history and the fact they used to look different. I searched for some anonymous archive photographs and found places as they had their best-looking time. Then I digitally remastered chosen pictures and printed them on the surface of a transparent glass. In the handmade wooden boxes I combined this
half-transparent archive photographs with my own pictures which i did in the same or similar places or made a portrait of a current state. Between this two images I placed interactive or organic objects, which, in my opinion, emphasize the incidents which had changed the place or are connected with a person.  The form of the wooden box is attached with the form of shrines hanging on the trees around my hometown.
This is both my personal searching for the past and the confrontation of my hometown's inhabitants' memories with my own visual perception.
The title "After-Image" is connected with  an optical illusion that refers to an image continuing to appear in one's vision after the exposure to the original image has ceased (wiki) and the fact that there is one image
"before" and "after" combined in one box.
The "After-Image" is an open thing.
