What does a flower bouquet say about you?
Alina created a visual, tangible and olfactory self portrait in a flower bouquet. The selection is based on how she feels about herself in this time of her life.
The flower I was personally impressed with was the artichoke, which is in fact her signature flower. The strong layers of leaves portrais her introvert personality, and the tender fruit at its core show the wildeness that she hides and blooms when feeling herself.
But why campanula and not lilac, for instance?
Campanula enhaces her love for nature and outdoors, as it’s a flower that grows on the fields and symbolizes freedom.
Eucalyptus is a detail to the bouquet for being a sacred plant that offers protection, while the mint shows her desire for sharing- a plant with multiple purposes that can be used for feeding others.
The color choice has a word to say in the whole story. So, for for bringing harmony into the scenary, she picked the white lily. This personalization of herself is a mix of everything, a balanced contradiction.
As delicate as everything seems, the art of creating a bouquet actually requires a lot of strength and precision and her worked hands are a proof of that.
However, Alina thinks more women should get themselves flowers as an act of self love and admiration. She proved us once again the importance of self-reliance, respect and gratitude in a woman’s growth process, before expecting others to do so.
