In this project, we were asked to design and prototype a cable winder with a usage of choice which can be manufactured by injection moulding technique. I choose to focus on the usage of high pressure cleaners for outdoor jobs. As there is a water and electricity input, the cable and hose easily intertwine with eachother. Another problem is the fact that the water hose and electricity cable have to be unrolled and winded up seperately.
By combining the supply hoses in one winder, this job becomes nearly effortless.
When only one supply is needed, the cable/hose can be winded up using the correct handle. When both sypplies are required (when using a high pressure cleaner f.e.), it can be winded up in one movement by sliding the handles into eachother.
The colorscheme is based on the Kärcher branding.
