The project Sedate is a combination of luxury and heritage that utilises a traditional craft 'Hand painting on silk'. The craft is practised by skilled artisans in Udaipur, India and it is a skill that has been passed from one generation to the other. The utilisation of a traditional craft adds emotional value and uplifts the artisans. The author attempts to make an emotionally durable collection that can be cherished in the wardrobe as something valuable and not something that can be discarded after a short - span of usage.

Though incorporating circularity in design is a far more complicated process here is an attempt to make a circular collection that celebrates the artisanal hand-done skills and age-old traditional crafts. 'Hand painting on silk'  is an expensive craft therefore the designer has incorporated very minimal painting as seen in the final range below.
