Concept Note:
My project depicts the pre-birth scenario of human kind. It is inspired by two narratives. One from the Hindu mythology which talks about the multiverse theory. According to Srimad Bhagavatam there is a spiritual realm which is almost like a clear blue sky which consists of four quarters out of which three forth is spiritual realm where Vishnu resides in the Vaikunt planet and the remaining quarter, is this cloudy place which is the material universe. It is one forth of the entire realm. Within this material realm there is a form of Vishnu which is Karnaugh Dakshai vishnu, who is lying in that material realm and every time he exhales, he exhales an entire universe from his nostrils. So he is constantly creating millions of universes with every passing breath, and also creating the Brahmas for each of those universes who in turn is the creator for all the beings of those specific universes.
My story is based on one such universe, where Brahma seems to be creating humans, who are blessed and doomed with luck, but sometimes also given the freedom of choice, giving them a taste of life before even being born.
The other narrative that my story is inspired by is a dream I had in class 4th. It was a dream of me on a conveyor belt, being passed around inside the womb of a human. I vividly remember that in the course of that dream I was given the choice to pick my mother, I was supposed to chose a picture from the passing images of other woman, and that’s when I saw her, the face so familiar that I knew instantly that it has to be her. In this reflex I chose her, with rushing emotions, finding a sudden connection. I remember that I was so overwhelmed that I woke up from my dream, feeling impassioned. Keeping these two narratives in mind, I have made my given story -” “.
