K-Culture

The Idea

Visually engaging viewers with distinguishable elements from Hallyu, ranging from all aspects of Korean culture.

Creating environment and scenes that’s uniquely korean to integrate with Disney+

Distinctive structures will be introduced to subtly enhance the ambiance of each environment in the new shows. These structures will encompass a pavilion, a prison, and a court, all of which will be crafted in a more abstract style, and an array of colors will be employed to ensure that the overall visual direction aligns seamlessly with the overarching concept. Additionally, we are considering the incorporation of other elements, such as coins or gavels, to impart a surrealistic touch.

The color scheme for the sky will consist of a blend of light blue, orange, and a subtle hint of pink, echoing the morning sky that graces the K-Universe set. This choice aims to establish a distinctive atmosphere in the new video, while still adhering to the color palettes originally established in the K-Universe environment.

Animated Key Frames

In the realm of animation, a critical step involves finalizing the offline edit before embarking on camera work. Upon receiving approval from the client, our team promptly engages in brainstorming sessions to strategically plan the camera angles and animation sequences. This meticulous planning ensures a seamless transition between the footage that precedes and follows the animation, ultimately crafting a cohesive and fluid visual narrative.

Sketches & Design

Given our tight deadline, we took a different approach. We had one team member focus on the overall environment design, while the rest of the team simultaneously worked on assets and editing. This helped speed up the process and allowed the designer to concentrate on the final details of the 3D production.
