Less Is More - Campaign

Kief Koffie
The task presented was to reimagine a consumable item frequently used in daily life, with the objective of promoting reduced consumption. This encompassed a comprehensive redesign of both the product and its packaging, all while maintaining its value proposition and refraining from price reduction.

Amidst the contemporary coffee-drinking trend, a prevalent issue has emerged. Enthusiastic consumers indulge in purchasing copious bags of coffee beans and numerous coffee pods for their sophisticated coffee machines, often oblivious to the ecological repercussions of their waste. This concern extends beyond the coffee packaging wastage and delves into the adverse effects of excessive coffee consumption on health, potentially leading to various health problems.

Approaching this endeavor with a touch of sarcasm, my project took an intriguing angle. The project aimed to shed light on the paradox wherein individuals advocate sustainability while remaining unaware of the environmental impact of their daily choices. The campaign's tone and language subtly challenge viewers to reflect upon their lifestyle choices and their contributions to environmental degradation. By evoking a sense of introspection, the campaign serves as a catalyst for viewers to recognize their role in driving positive change.
KIEF KOFFIE offers the perfect solution to the problem. There are six coffee bags which contains a healthy amount of coffee inside. The coffee bags are attached to seeded paper origamis on top of a small piece of banana leaf, which is waterproof and allows the origamis to float on the coffee. The materials used for this product is plastic free, compostable, recyclable, and 100% biodegradable. This means that
after a coffee bag is used, is can be planted (with the origami).
This project was an exhilarating journey that resonated deeply with me. What drew me in was the opportunity to approach sustainability from a thought-provoking and unconventional perspective. Crafting a campaign that challenges the status quo while employing a hint of sarcasm allowed me to push creative boundaries and ignite conversations.
