The Ugly Duckling tale, but it’s a Bat raised by a Chiwawa.
This is a project developed during Creative Strategy for Visual Development with Vahe Yefremian, at Warrior Art Camp.

Set in a magical forest, Vovó Chiwa is known in her village as the potions provider, through her vending machine. She raised Bertô, a little bat she found under a tree many years ago, who helps in her business.
Bertô is afraid of heights, doesn’t know how to fly and actually doesn’t even know what it means to be a bat. He just knows he’s always sleepy during the day, but very active and alive during the night.
He is looking for reasons to go out and explore, find new ingredients and create his own potions. But he is afraid of not being as good as Vovó Chiwa, and that if he ever goes alone deeper into the forest he might get lost forever.
