Crocoite on Limonite

Crocoite on limonite is mainly found in Tasmania, Australia, where it is considered to be the state's mineral emblem. The most famous locality for crocoite on limonite is the Adelaide Mine, which produces some of the finest and largest specimens in the world. The mine was discovered in 1903 and is still active today.
