These are some people I met around the small towns and metropolis I've been to in the past years. People who I'm still in touch with, people I don't see anymore... Here they are!
This is a caricature of Marco. I used some photos as reference.
This is a portrait of Greta! Since it was a present I even managed to sign it... I've known her for years. She was my best friend in junior high, and this is how she looks now! Such a cutie, ain't she? (;
These are Sergio and... I dunno. I can't remember her name...

These are Marco and Richy at a party called Sie Lieben UK that took place the last summer in a small village above the town where I used to live.

SKETCHBOOK

In the past years, I used to practice by portraying people I didn't know. I used to go on facebook, look for a friend's friends, and just pick one of 'em to draw. I drew also schoolmates, classmates, people I had a good rapport with or that I didn't know at all. I couldn't know, back then, that I was gonna meet some of them.

I've got plenty of sketchbooks at home, full of stuff I forgot about. I felt kinda awkward re-discovering these, like, what was I thinking? I'm sure lots of people could feel really disturbed by a young girl drawing them on her lonely evenings...
...but if I can be honest, truth is I feel okay about drawing others. I feel okay with drawing strangers around in bars, people hanging out, the youth that just wants a sucky portrait. There's just no difference at all between this and that humanity. They're all people. I may be just another weirdo with no social life and nothing better to do ; then I'm just gonna guess that maybe, if it has to be this way, being a lonely weirdo is one of the funniest thing to be.
If I knew before what was going to happen between me and these people, maybe I'd be wiser. It's nothing special to say ; but it has to be said, and I guess that's why such statements become typical. But sincerely, I don't mean by that being a better person - sure I mean ALSO that, but it's just not the point I want to make.
I'd just try to take a laugh once in a while. I'd just be... more confident.

There was an old, crazy dude who used to live a long time ago. His name was Lord Buckley. And he said, a long time ago, he said, "People--they're kinda like flowers, and it's been a privilege walking in your garden." My love goes with you.
