A Hollow. 2014. Performance. 
 
Performed at the Oak Park Art League on June 13th, 2014, A Hollow is is a durational performance piece by that explores the function of memory, funerary practices, monuments to the deceased, and the purpose of objects of commemoration. The work is a procession inspired by human attempts at memorializing the deceased. Born out of in-depth research into modes of grieving, processes of handling a body, and the folkloric and mythological histories of certain materials, A Hollow seeks to highlight the use and purpose of objects of commemoration and their relationship to the human body, deceased or otherwise.
