Using UI and UX to better display and highlight allergen information on supermarket websites
Using Figma, one of the ideas I was developing for my personal portfolio was to look at how both UI and UX can be used to better display and highlight allergen information on supermarket websites on the PDP (Product description page) especially after the Pret a Manger case last year and the Byron case this year.
In this project I also looked multiple ways of searching for products including the use of filters on the PLP (Product Listing Page) making it easier for consumers to find the products they are looking for or discover new products by giving them multiple ways of searching.
Lastly I also improved on the basket component used by Waitrose, redesigning the basket and checkout experience by making it slide in from the right so it covers the entire screen, so that the customer wouldn't have to leave the page they are on.
