Prana Yogaworkshop - Logo and corp.id. design

Prana

(प्राण, prāṇa) is the Sanskrit word for "life force" in yoga, Oriental medicine, and martial arts, the term refers to a cosmic energy believed to come from the sunand connecting the elements of the universe. Prana is the sum total of all energy that is manifest in the universe. This life energy, prana (प्राण) has been vividly invoked and described in Vedas.
It is analogous to qi or chi. (- wikipedia)

A simple, clear but matching logo was needed, something related with the prana, flow, waves, spiritualism and of course yoga but in modern form.

In the logo - designed by me - the 7 closing lines, triangles symbolizes our 7 chakras and the flow between them.
The triangle shape symbolizes the meditating lotus sitting, the main yoga position (asana) for the deep meditation.

Triangle shape is the symbolum of the meditating "lotus sitting" asana,
the 7 triangle lines are the symbolum of the energy flow between our chakras.

To the identity I used watercolour pattern to bring some color, movement and flow into the concept. I used as illustrations the shilouettes of several yoga positions (asanas) with a little vivid pattern derived from the lines of the logo.
Sample illustrations used in the elements of corp.identity.

Used fonts are MonaKo, Helvetica Neue, and Times New Roman where serif font is needed.

I've combined the logo, pattern and the watercolour shapes in the corporate identity elements which you can se below. Here are the smal stationery presented and the design of the flyer with the advertisments of the offer in April.
