En las vastas aguas del océano Pacífico, en las costas de Chile, habitaba una imponente ballena llamada Ariki. Él era conocido como el guardián de las aguas chilenas y su presencia inspiraba respeto y admiración, al igual que las antiguas historias de los valientes guerreros Rapa Nui.
Ariki era una ballena de enormes proporciones, con una poderosa cola que podía romper las olas con fuerza y un cuerpo cubierto de cicatrices de batallas pasadas. Su canto resonaba a través de los mares, transmitiendo coraje y determinación a todos los seres que lo escuchaban. Su deber era proteger las aguas chilenas de cualquier amenaza que se interpusiera en su camino.
En una ocasión, una flota de barcos extranjeros invadió las aguas de Chile, poniendo en peligro la riqueza y la biodiversidad del océano. Los Rapa Nui, quienes veneraban a Ariki como un símbolo de valentía y protección, sabían que necesitaban la ayuda del guardián para enfrentar esta nueva amenaza.
Los ancianos de la isla se reunieron y realizaron una ceremonia sagrada en la costa, invocando la presencia de Ariki con cánticos y ofrendas. En respuesta a su llamado, Ariki emergió de las profundidades, listo para la batalla.
Embistió con furia los barcos invasores, golpeando con su colosal cuerpo y haciéndolos retroceder. Las olas se elevaron alrededor de él, engullendo las embarcaciones y recordándoles a los intrusos que las aguas de Chile estaban protegidas por un poderoso guardián.
Al final, los invasores fueron expulsados y las aguas chilenas quedaron protegidas una vez más. Ariki, se sumergió en las aguas, dejando atrás un legado de valentía y un mensaje claro: la unión entre los seres humanos y la naturaleza es fundamental para mantener el equilibrio en el mundo.

ARIKI, is a custom based on the Kabax platform, artists from México. Organized by Art Toy Con, I tried to capture a bit of Chilean culture, especially that of the Rapa Nui; hence, the previous story originates from there.

Ariki - The King of the Ocean | English Version
Ariki was a whale of enormous proportions, with a powerful tail that could break the waves with strength, and a body covered in scars from past battles. Its song resonated through the seas, conveying courage and determination to all beings that heard it. Its duty was to protect the Chilean waters from any threat that stood in its way.
On one occasion, a fleet of foreign ships invaded the waters of Chile, endangering the wealth and biodiversity of the ocean. The Rapa Nui, who revered Ariki as a symbol of bravery and protection, knew they needed the guardian's help to face this new threat.
The island's elders gathered and performed a sacred ceremony on the coast, invoking Ariki's presence with chants and offerings. In response to their call, Ariki emerged from the depths, ready for battle.
It fiercely rammed the invading ships, striking with its colossal body and forcing them to retreat. The waves surged around it, engulfing the vessels and reminding the intruders that the waters of Chile were protected by a mighty guardian.
In the end, the invaders were expelled, and the Chilean waters were safeguarded once again. Ariki submerged into the waters, leaving behind a legacy of bravery and a clear message: the unity between humans and nature is essential to maintain balance in the world.
