Apple maps which are available on iPhone are getting evolved with several new and more profound features. It was announced at the WWDC event that happened recently. Some of the upcoming features include high-resolution imagery for apps like Zillow and new and sophisticated tools for developers, like making Bird scooters and bikes easier to find.
Apple intends to redesign its maps in 11 more countries by the end of the year. These will include cycling directions and Look Around, a new 3D city experience. These changes in Apple Maps will come along with the launch of iOS 16. This will also include new iPhone Message features that can help prevent cringe-worthy text message faux pas.
iPhone Will Have Multistop Routing Very Soon
At present several users are dependent on Google Maps for the lags present in the Apple Maps and these will change along. Multistop Routing is among the features which is requested the most by the users and is coming as an update. This new feature allows you to plan up to 15 stops on your iPhone and makes navigation easy for you.
If you have integrated your Mac with your iPhone then there is a big whopper for you. The new features also allow you to plan your trip on mac and send it to your iPhone when you’re ready to go.
Maps will be able to store your previous routes in the Recent section of the page and you will find it easy when you plan your commute. To begin the journey you will open the Maps app present on your iPhone and type in your first destination. You can add more stops you will have to tap Add Stop and type in your next destination.
For example, you can type the Gym you wish to stop for your workout and then the place where you reside. If you’re driving and need to add a stop, you can ask Siri to add it to your route. This will prevent you from any sort of distractions and help you to stay focused on the road.
Addition of New Transit Features Will Take Place
If you use public transportation for going to the place you work or to dine at a restaurant. Apple has added a new transit feature that will make your trip very convenient. You will also be able to see the fares i.e how much your trip will cost your pocket.
You can add a new transit card from Apple Maps to your Apple Wallet application.
If you have a low transit card balance, you will receive alerts and notifications regarding the same so that you can rectify the issue without leaving the Maps app. All you will be required to do is tap on the Reload button. And rest will be automatically taken care of by the system.
