Team Reveals 14th Team Project 'The Heart'

             For the 14th Team Project the artists were asked to create work based upon the                 theme of The Heart.

             I would like to thank you all for your amazing support without which this project                   would not have been possible.

             The artists who participated in this project are from : Japan, Russian Federation,

Title: Heart of an Angel

Description: There is such a legend about a blooming heart, it was once washed ashore by the sea. It happened a long time ago in a small seaside town. People woke up from the fact that the fragrant smell of spring was blowing everywhere, birds were singing, and joy and peace entered their hearts. Everyone wanted to go out and see what happened because it was late autumn. People went to where this magical smell came from – to the sea. On the shore lay a giant heart, strewn with different flowers, it exuded the fragrance of love and happiness. Those who were bolder came closer to examine this strange phenomenon. Children climbed the flowering branches as if they were trees, and birds and dogs ate torn pieces of flesh that looked like candied fruit. There was no doubt, this heart is huge and blooming, like a spring garden! Which giant lost it? The heart of an angel or a forgotten ancient god? Why is he here and from where? The arguments and fears went away by themselves. It has happened before that the sea even threw out whales, but so that a huge heart the size of a whale did not happen. Therefore, people have come to the decision that this is a gift from heaven. Residents plucked flowers, took pieces of the heart in their baskets and took them home. A day later, miracles began to happen; the sick were healed, those who were looking for happiness found it in small things, people stopped finding reasons for litter and anger. They ate the angel's heart and planted flower seeds in their gardens and on the streets of the city. Prosperity and happiness have come to this city in every home and family. Everyone who came to this city found a haven for their soul, harmony and peace settled forever in their hearts. Wars, terrible epidemics and famine have left this place and these people forever. They say that even now there is this happy city or country on earth, but it is hidden from the eyes of people. But you can get there only if your heart coincides with the harmonious rhythm of the hearts of the inhabitants of the city....                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Stop! Stop, no, that's enough!  An angel's heart? Harmony and peace without wars? Is this possible? . Well, even if this city does not exist, I had to invent it and tell about such a possibility.

Your heart is where your thoughts are....

This is a story about the dreams of the heart. When you can be alone with yourself. The heart becomes a little Angel in the midst of the majestic landscape of its thoughts and feelings, which resemble swirling flower petals that break from the tree of our soul and soar through space and time. And now the heart becomes the home of an angel. The light from the soul, like the light from the window, illuminates the silhouette of an Angel with a candle, which appears for a moment and then disappears again in the depths of the soul...

Title Emik's JToys

Description: 

Emik's JToys (Yaguareté, Caracol/goodness, Spiral/Intelligence)

Is a triptych made of achiote, minerals, charcoal, liquid gold tint and some other mixed pieces on canvas. It was inspired in a hybridization of imagery of the heart, a bridge in between imagination, wishes and affections crossing worlds.

Emik is the name of my lovely russian/colombian nephew, and "JToys" merges

his joys and toys I sort of imagine and recreate through the videos we receive

from my brother there, so far away. I treasure all those images from Emik into my

heart and mix them with ancestral beings, substances, layers of stories, most

of all his voice -in a tongue I don't really understand- guessing and listening to

translations of his persistent speeches telling of the discovery of life. He is said

to wake up and go to bed in an endless chatter, full of loving, joyous goodness.
