For an instance if people violate the Copyright Act by using copyrighted material without permission, they may face civil and criminal liability, including lawsuits, fines, and possible imprisonment. Infringers can be ordered to pay damages, stop the infringing activity, and have their materials seized and destroyed. Online platforms may also take down infringing content, and legal costs may be imposed on the infringing party. It's crucial to respect copyright laws and obtain proper authorization before using copyrighted works.
