I met James when he was assisting with engineering on the ‘Universal Everything - Lifeforms’ show at 180 gallery in London. We got chatting and it transpired he was producing music and had previously been the vocalist in an electronic pop band called Darkstar. After a long day working in the depths of the converted car park / gallery, I settled back in my hotel and had a listen; Even with tired ears, it was an enjoyable listen, full of the spirit of invention. After more enthusiastic conversations amongst the chaos the next day, we decided to try making some music.

I sent over a few sketches the following week. After a few days James sent back some vocals over one of the long forgotten keyboard improvisations I’d sent over. It had me floored, it was elevated from something discarded on the cutting room floor, to some kind of ethereal twisted pop ballad, I new we had to do some more work together.

In the months that followed, we had a hyperactive burst of creative online collaboration, sending music back and forth, and James digging into crafting very personal lyrics, that seemed to combine perfectly with the spirit of the music.

To date we have shared the two singles below taken from our album which we have ready to go, hopefully before the end of this year. As they say in every software manual ever ‘We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it!’
