SANKA is a caffeine-free coffee that was created in the 20s, made with exotic grains from arabia, traditionally combined with saffron, cardamom, cloves and cinnamon. It was a coffee for the heart and for the children.
The objective of this project was to redesign its image and its packaging to reintroduce it in the current market as well as extending the line of products. The elements that characterized the product were kept for the redesign so the user could recall the previous design but with a modern touch, for this purpose a restyling of the previous packaging was made, and also a change in materials (From aluminum to cardboard). For the brand, the synthesis of the main character was modernized by giving more tranquility and serenity to his expression, making sure that is clear that it’s a decaf coffee that allows to sleep. A modular composition of coffee beans was added to the background making the new design more sophisticated. It is also decided to extend the design for other types of products, introducing coffee beans and capsules.
