Autodesk Certified Credential in CAD and Digital Manufacturing
THE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY IS CHANGING RAPIDLY WITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF NEW MANUFACTURING PROCESSES AND THE USE OF COMPUTER ALGORITHMS TO DRIVE INNOVATION. THIS WEEK EXPLORES TRENDS SUCH AS GENERATIVE DESIGN, MACHINE LEARNING AND ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING. INDUSTRY EXPERTS INTRODUCE THESE TRENDS AND PROVIDE YOU WITH INSIGHT AND ENTERPRISE EXAMPLES OF HOW THEY ARE BEING USED TODAY. Just because a design looks complete, doesn’t mean that it’s done. Often times you will go through dozens of revisions before achieving the final result. We'll explore ways to optimize the strength and reduce the weight of our quadcopter design, and we'll pull from experience to help guide design decisions.
THE PLANNING STAGE FOR THE DRONE WAS AN EXCELENT EXPERIENCE THAT TOOK ME TO OTHER POSSIBILITIES THAT WERE MORE DIVERSIFIED THAN JUST THE CREATION OF THE ELECTRIC MOTORCYCLES. I CONSTANTLY SERVE HEAVLY ON A 3D VISUALISATION ARTIST MORE THAN AN ENGINEER, BUT MOSTLY USED THE BASE UNSDERSANDING TO HELP THE ENGINEER AT DENZEL, ARIEL BIKES AND CYBRFORM (FORMERLY X-MOBILITY).
Most retail production quad and multirotor chassis are made of flat plates of carbon fiber or injection molded plastic. Flat plates of composite materials are often cut on a machine that uses high pressure water and abrasives. This allows you to cut almost any material without introducing heat, which could affect its structure and properties.
3 Racing FPV frame design
The overall scope of this project requires a live feed camera that can be adjusted by a person on the ground. Our project will use a single servo to allow the camera to tilt as needed but will require a servo mount on the body to function properly.
WORKING THE COMPONENTS TO BUILD
THE STAGE SIMULATION TO VERIFY THE INTEGRITY OF THE DRONE STRUCTURE. SINCE WE HAD TO FOLLOW THE WORKFLOW AND BE ABLE TO APPLY THE TOOLS WE ARE LEARNING AND MAKE OUT OWN CAPABLE DRONE WAS REALLY AMAZING AND FUN
Even with today's rapid manufacturing processes, there is still a cost associated. Regardless if you have access to a 3D printer, making informed design decisions is critical to the success of any product.
Replicating real world motion is important to understanding physical constraints of any product. A quadcopter has spinning propellers, and in our case, a tilting camera. This is relatively simple mechanically speaking, but making sure they never touch is key to keeping it up in the air.
STARTING THE DRONE STRUCTURAL PROPORTIONS
THE DRONE MASS REDUCTION STEP WAS VERY FASCINATING SINCE IT MADE THE DESIGN TO BE CHANGED FOUR TIMES IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE THE MINIMUM WEIGHT
