In this new project my main goal was to create an icon that represented in a clear and iconic way the figure of a simple bird. So my main intention was to produce a memorable and clear image that would immediately arouse the viewer's attention. For this I used a very traditional style in terms of illustration but I believe that this style awakens an older, elegant and particularized tone to whoever the target audience is.
To reach this very satisfying result for me, I needed to advance in my knowledge of birds. So I did a brief survey of the movement, anatomy, and behavior of such peculiar creatures.
Of course, in the beginning my intention was to produce an illustration that could represent a tribute to old classical printmakers, but I realized, doing this first project, that I lacked a lot of knowledge of the very theme of the birds themselves, so I interrupted the process of making this illustration below.
