My last second year project was to create a new brand identity for a Cardiff based company. I choose to rebrand The Flower Oasis who are a small local business based in Cardiff. Their branding wasn't bad but i felt it could be improved to show off what they provide and make them stand out more to passing trade. Their location is perfect for passing trade so i felt that the shop front was one of the main areas to focus on along with the logo itself.

With that in mind i researched into other logos and took a look at the street they are situated on. I felt that the logo needed bright sophisticated colours that would help brighten the shop front up and make it more appealing to customers. I also wanted to keep the number of colours down so that everything flowed and was connected. I kept with a simple flower shape for the logo itself but i added layers to show the way their service is adaptable, friendly and happy to help. I worked with two typefaces to eventually create the flowing handwritten script for the word Flower as i felt that it was important it was bold and stood out to passing customers.
I applied the logo and flower shape through the pieces to show that it works on everything from uniforms to gift tags and even ribbon and wrapping paper. I kept four colour throughout and made sure that everything tied together and worked for the company and the audience.
