Birthed from a mutual enthusiasm to upskill our respective modelling and manual photography skills, Daniel and I created the following brief for this 'backyard' shoot:
Create a collection of three images for a Men's Editorial that accent masculine angles and rugged textures.
During the shoot, we encountered a challenge with the intense lighting, resulting in harsh highlights that required careful post-production editing to address.
As a result, I gained more confidence in shooting busy, textural surroundings and got to practise editing tonal photography.
While not explicitly fashion-centric, I believe that these images have the potential to serve as a promotional campaign for a leather jacket, particularly if a client aims to accentuate effortlessly cool masculinity through the use of organic textures.
