The Aztec people of Central Mexico. This is the first in many photos that will be uploaded sharing some insider views of these interesting people who have been kind enough to take me into their tribe and their ceremonies.
One of the Medicine Men that invoked the gods and perform aura cleanings. I found him to be a very interesting person. The wisdom and knowledge that he had for such a young age was impressive.
Another spiritual person, however he is from another tribe. This one is wearing a crocodile or ZIPAKTLI. Ziptaktli is the begining of the Aztec 20 day calendar. Blue is prevalent in many tribal ways of dressing. Navahos also use blue, however with them it is a sign of being a warrior.
One of my closest friends from the tribe. A very humble and thoughful person.
Mictlantecuhtli is the God of Death. This is this healer's way of depicting the other side of Mictlantecuhtli. A few photos above he is in red with white, in this it is wihite with red. Very powerful.
Probably one of the most beautiful women that I have ever seen.
