Given a brief where we were tasked to produce advertisements. One purely typographic advertisement, and an advertisement combing type and image. I chose to use Vans and Adidas as my brands.
By using the name of the creator Adolph Dassler and linking it to the philosophy of the brand, it resulted in simplistic formula of success through adressing the benefits of buying the product.
Vans, is a Californian skateboarding brand that originally created their shoe line with a superior grip to other competitors. By combining the signature "waffle" grip that is a fundamental aspect of the Vans brand with a phrase addressing the original point of sale worked really well.
