This project is a reinterpretation of a coloring book. The original illustrations were rearranged using a Nesting software. Nesting is the process of efficiently placing multiple shapes on a given surface. This process maximizes utilization, reduces waste and minimizes material costs.

The software takes over in the creative process and thereby replaces the artist. The project questions originality, subjectivity and authorship. Can a copy ever be original? And does the colorist have any claim on the authorship too?
