The song is about dedicating your love to someone. The imagery of 'earth' or world (using a gestalt way of seeing- figure-ground) shows that the person to whom the song is dedicated, is their world.
Everything the singer does is for the person he loves, and he believes everything that happens is also for them, and that is what 'For you' represents here. "I drew a line for you" is another line in the song which shows the singer's habit of making lists; underlining the most important ones and is represented by the yellow line.
