Hello everyone,

We are pleased to present our latest project that will take you straight to the heart of Chicago. We worked for many weeks to create an amazing architectural visualization for a skyscraper located at 229-299 E North Water St Parking, 288 N Columbus Dr, Chicago, IL 60601, United States.

It was impossible not to notice this undeveloped plot when we were browsing Google Maps. We knew right away that we had to create something special on it. When designing, we took into account many factors, trying to inscribe our architecture into the characteristic fabric of the city, at the same time exposing its courage and uniqueness.

When creating the visuals, we experimented with different settings, testing different climates and atmospheres. We wanted to understand how the recipients would react to the same architecture depending on the presented style. Working on the scale and urban planning of the skyscraper faced many challenges, but thanks to our commitment and using tools such as Cadmapper, photos from the ordered local vision and Google Maps, we managed to reflect the space in 3ds Max.

The skyscraper's surroundings have been fully recreated in 3D to draw you even more into our project. And this is just the beginning! In the future, we want to share with you even more shots from this amazing project.

Best regards,
Pixelcraft.Work & VizAcademy Team
We began our project by conducting local site visits and studying the area using Google Maps. This research helped us gather valuable information and insights. Additionally, we created mood boards in Miro to establish the desired visual direction.

Once we had a clear understanding of the site, we proceeded to work on the geometry using Cadmapper. This allowed us to accurately recreate the architectural elements and design the project accordingly. Check final effects below ↓

Here is Jarek's analysis of framing. You can see the flow of the image, and how it perfectly behaves with different composition styles.

03. Sunny Atmosphere

Which one do you like most?
We performed a meta-analysis of targeted audiences in Chicago and Los Angeles aged 25+ with average interests. We used two visualizations of a skyscraper from our project - one taken at night and the other during winter - to analyze their impact on attention and traffic.

We chose these two visuals to represent different moods and emotions that can be evoked through visuals. The night shot represented a more dramatic and eye-catching view, while the winter shot represented a more subdued and calming view.
Target: Los Angeles
Results: CPC $0.76

Target: Chicago
Results: CPC $0.39
Target: Los Angeles
Results: CPC $0.55

Target: Chicago
Results: $0.31

Results? Our analysis showed that the night shot of the skyscraper had a 20% higher impact on attention and traffic in Chicago, compared to the winter shot. For the Los Angeles audience, the difference was even more significant, with the night shot resulting in 90% higher attention and traffic. Additionally, the cost of clicks for the winter shot was 190% more expensive than for the night shot.

Do you know that the Chicago River changes it's color?

According to the popular belief, the tradition is said to have originated in 1962 when members of the local plumbers' union introduced a small quantity of green dye into the river, resulting in a vibrant green hue. Ever since, this event has become a yearly celebration in Chicago, taking place on St. Patrick's Day.
