We live in an age where we are more connected then ever, yet despite this we still have problems connecting audiences with global news stories. The ‘BBC Reporter’ app gives the public a voice to contribute to news stories. All this new content generated by the BBC app community can sit beside the BBC’s own content on the website and highlight alternative perspectives. News 2.0 sees a redesign of bbc.co.uk, the new site is optimised to show the links and connections between stories and explain why events far away can have a knock on effect close to home.
