The Swiss Arts Council - Pro Helvetia promotes Swiss arts and culture with a focus on diversity and high quality. Pro Helvetia Cairo is dedicated to link up the Swiss arts scene with the cultural scenes and with the public in the Arab region by promoting artistic and cultural exchange between Switzerland and the Arab region. Pro Helvetia forges ties with local event organisers, develop and nurture long-term partnerships, initiate co-productions with artists from the regions concerned and organise residencies. The programme is interdisciplinary in nature. Special emphasis is placed on the disciplines of visual art, performing arts, music, literature, design, architecture, interactive media,
and interdisciplinary projects.
Our aim is to create new identity for this call for the current year by showcasing the diversity of the disciplines through featuring illustrations of people from different backgrounds and ages engaging with the supported cultural and artistic events. A floral pattern is used heavily to feature the nature of Switzerland.
