The LANDSCAPES project is made in mixed media. Includes 15 images (landscapes) created from a combination of lidar scan results and images generated by a neural network. Sculptural objects are part of the project.
Dreams are seen as a personal space of fairy-tale action and a coded message from our unconscious part. That is why it is so important to transpose the dream into reality. Where to find a bridge to reality? The author finds the answer in the same place - in the unconscious.
In the imprint of movements uncontrolled by the rational part in a dream, a part of the magical world is found - the landscape of sleep.
The human unconscious is already broadcasting its message to the real world.
The author takes the result of unconscious movements in a dream and creates a projection/new interpretation of this result, translating reality into a new waking dream.
"... in a dream I had a dark gray sky to the horizon, a calm sea, sand and rain of the same color. I got wet to the skin, but the drops were so warm and I didn’t want to go anywhere. No one. Dunes around to the very horizon. Sea of dunes. I calmly continue to get wet. I'm wearing a gray loose-fitting long-sleeved T-shirt and some shapeless trousers. Happiness and silence inside. Where do such dreams come from, after which you don't want to wake up, and when you wake up, you want to go back? They grow from the very heart. "
(Diary entry dated November 06, 2014)
This is the author's favorite recurring dream. One day, waking up after such a dream, my eyes fell on the wrinkled sheets and blankets, exactly repeating the landscape of the dream.
Thus began the LANDSCAPE project, made in mixed media.
