Concept + Moodboard:
The concept/philosophy stems from the building originally being the core to BT users in the surrounding area. The new use of the building will be for the building (The B Block) to be the core to several start-up companies. From the 'core' concept, the tree form derived in terms of the trunk acting like a core and the branches acting like the start-up companies stemming from the form and growing and branching out as companies, but all remaining as part of the core, The B Block. The tree form has then been transferred into the design of the building, through several design aspects.

Second Floor: General working area and window seating/storage.

Second and Third Floor: (Second floor in visual) Casual meeting area. Acoustic elements include the hooded shades and the triangular wall designs - keeping all conversation from echoing.

Second Floor: Hot desking area. As previously explained, the desks fold away easily allowing to be moved around, and increased/decreased in amount, if necessary. Light shelving is also in place, controlling the sunlight. The cubes above the worker's head are acoustic cubes, absorbing all sounds in that specific zone.

Second Floor: Hot desking area (left) and meeting rooms area (right). The wooden upright panels (right) are bifolding panels which allow the meeting rooms to separate completely from all other open space, and allow for privacy.

Second Floor: Meeting rooms continued. With acoustic properties being displayed by the triangular designs on several walls. As previously explained, the colour coded lines and arrows on the floor display the way-finding design.
