The LTA’s (Lawn Tennis Association) goal was to bring 100 000 new kids into the game of tennis this year, so BMB called on us to design and create six adorable tennis ball characters. These needed to be fun little tennis ball creatures, that children could relate to and entice them to pick up a tennis racquet.
These characters were also created as physical tennis balls which were handed out at schools and clubs around britain.

Our result was The Tennisables - 6 cute tennis creatures with unique personalities.

Bounce - The Resilient one.
Spin - The Technical one.
Smash - The Competitive one.
And Slice - The Fun one.

We brought these creatures to life through a fun 60 second live action launch video featuring up and coming tennis stars Emma Raducanu and Jack Draper introducing the Tennisables to the world.
The Tennisables LTA campaign required many rounds of character design ideas, over 100! We also created 50 static poses of the characters in different expressions, Logos, backgrounds and of course ALOT of Animation :)
