"Feld Playback" is a Multi-created self-published zine Inspiration from the TGA award-winning game "Disco Elysium", created by studio ZA/UM. The zine is collaboratively created by over 50 artists and aims to explore and expand upon the world of "Revachol" depicted by ZA/UM by portraying the lives of nearly a hundred NPCs often overlooked in the game. In the world of ZA/UM, "Feld Playback" refers to a type of tape-like computer software used for reading. The inclusion of the magnetic tape elements of the fictional "Feld Corporation" in the game's user interface emphasizes the meta-properties of this concept, encapsulating the Soviet aesthetics and science fiction world of the game's development team. To emphasize the concept of recording, the publication is designed in a large B5 format, resembling the appearance of a realistic "tape." The cover illustration is a collage of portraits composed of character art from multiple NPCs in the game. The book also comes with an actual cassette tape, included in a special edition gift box.
