Corona Civica
The task in this project was to develop a concept and a corporate design for the newly founded cultural award of the city Trier. The award honors people for excellent service for the common good or the city. The history of Trier goes back over 2000 years and has its roots in the roman empire. Trier holds the title of being the oldest city in Germany and is deeply connected with its history until today. While I worked on this project, i wanted to connect the award to this heritage.

During my researches, I found reports about traditional roman awards. While most awards were only rewarded for military excellence, the so called Corona Civica honored people for outstanding civil and cultural services. While the logotype reminds of old roman letters, the logo itself abstractly resembles the form of the historical Corona Civica with the two Cs being the laurel wreaths with three bay leaves.
