LEE 125 YEARS: PHILIPPINE TOUR ILLUSTRATION
In celebration of Lee Jean's 125th Anniversary, they put together the Lee 125 Years: Archive Exhibition Tour to travel across 6 selected key markets in Asia Pacific that includes China, Philippines, Thailand, Japan, India & Australia. Philippines was the 2nd destination of the tour right after China. The exhibition run for 2 weeks that featured 27 Iconic Denim Innovations, 125 Buddy Lee Dolls and Lee 125th Anniversary x Araki Photo Collaboration curated by Lee Jeans Historian, Jean “Lady Jean” Svadlenak.
As a part of this event I was commissioned by Lee Jeans Philippines to create a 2.8 x 2.5 meters denim mural. The illustration was digitally printed & painted over on light washed denim and was displayed throughout the Philippine tour which happened in 3 big shopping malls in Manila.
CONCEPT OF THE ILLUSTRATION
Jeans that breathe nature. Influenced by Lee ReTHINK, implementing eco-friendly concepts of everyday wear at the same time preserving the original details & textures. This illustration is meant to express the celebration of curiosity, self expression & friendship as Lee Jeans celebrates it's 125 years of producing nature-friendly products that fits interesting people living a dynamic metropolitan lifestyle.
