This project was done for a uni assignment, but based on a D&AD brief.

 

The brief was to design a booklet for London based organisation the Typographic Circle. They are a not-for-profit organisation for anyone interested in typography.  The booklet would serve as a supplement to the Typographic Circle's magazine Circular. Each booklet was to be based on a designer, writer, artist etc who had been a speaker for the Typographic Cirlce.

Additionally for the assignment, we researched an art movement. In my case Russian Constructivism. The style and ideals of the movement were to be incorporated into the brief. 

 

The booklets I have designed feature Stefan Sagmeister and Sir John Hegarty. Each booklet is unique to the speaker, yet also operate as a series. 

 

The aim of the brief was to experiment with typography and layout to produce a booklet type-savvy designers would appreciate.
