The demographic changes registered in the last few decades on the island left a mark on the natural and urban landscape and where these two merge.
The city grows and enters the rural space, the rural space suffers from non permanent overuse, leaving the consequences for the ones that still live there and didn't migrate for the biggest cities. This migration left traces of the past on the countryside, traces that have been suffering transformations caused by Nature taking back what once belonged to it, leaving them with a "jolie-laide" sculptural quality oftentimes uncomprehended.
The road development made the places closer to each other, making it easier to understand the gap between the ways of living of the city and the countryside, time passes at a different rhythm, ones behaviours are aberrations to others, alternative ways are normal and going for a disappearance that will increase the standardisation of everything and everyone.
