1. Underwater inhabitants of the seas and oceans.
Grimpoteuthis is a genus of pelagic cirrate (finned) octopods known as the dumbo octopuses. The name "dumbo" originates from their resemblance to the title character of Disney's 1941 film Dumbo, having two prominent ear-like fins which extend from the mantle above each eye. There are 17 species recognized in the genus.Prey include crustaceans, bivalves, worms and copepods. The average life span of various Grimpoteuthis species is 3 to 5 years.
Bigfin squids are a group of rarely seen cephalopods with a distinctive morphology. They are placed in the genus Magnapinna and family Magnapinnidae. Although the family was described only from larval, paralarval, and juvenile specimens, numerous video observations of much larger squid with similar morphology are assumed to be adult specimens of the same family.
The Rhinochimaeridae, commonly known as long-nosed chimaeras, are a family of cartilaginous fish. They are similar in form and habits to other chimaeras, but have an exceptionally long conical or paddle-shaped snout. The snout has numerous sensory nerve endings, and is used to find food such as small fish. The first dorsal fin includes a mildly venomous spine, used in defense.
The vampire squid (Vampyroteuthis infernalis, lit. 'vampire squid from hell') is a small cephalopod found throughout temperate and tropical oceans in extreme deep sea conditions. The vampire squid uses its bioluminescent organs and its unique oxygen metabolism to thrive in the parts of the ocean with the lowest concentrations of oxygen. It has two long retractile filaments, located between the first two pairs of arms on its dorsal side, which distinguish it from both octopuses and squids, and places it in its own order, Vampyromorphida, although its closest relatives are octopods. As a phylogenetic relict, it is the only known surviving member of its order.
The black sea nettle (Chrysaora achlyos), sometimes informally known as the black jellyfish, is a species of jellyfish that can be found in the waters of the Pacific Ocean off North America. Its range is thought to be from Monterey Bay in the north, down to southern Baja California and Mexico, though there are reports of sightings as far north as British Columbia.
Stygiomedusa gigantea, commonly known as the giant phantom jelly, is the only species in the monotypic genus of deep sea jellyfish, Stygiomedusa. It is in the Ulmaridae family. With only around 110 sightings in 110 years, it is a jellyfish that is rarely seen, but believed to be widespread throughout the world, with the exception of the Arctic Ocean.

The Bolitaeninae are a subfamily, in the family Amphitretidae, of small, common pelagic octopuses found in all tropical and temperate oceans of the world. The taxonomy of this taxon is not entirely certain; recent research suggests just two genera exist, Bolitaena and Japetella, both of which are thought to be monotypic by some authorities and under this view, the family would represent two very similar species: Bolitaena pygmaea and Japetella diaphana. However, currently a second species of Bolitaena, B. massyae is also recognised.

Amphiprion is a genus of ray-finned fish which includes all but one of the species of clownfish or anemonefish in the subfamily Amphiprioninae of the family Pomacentridae. They live on coral reefs. Contains 29 species common in the Pacific and Indian oceans, cannot exist without sea anemone (due to its external resemblance to a flower, this coral polyp is called a sea anemone). Her dangerous tentacles protect fish and their eggs from predators. Until now, it remains a mystery why anemones do not spare their inhabitants, who were nicknamed anemone fish in honor of the owner of the house. There is an assumption that the fish are covered with a special mucus that does not allow the sea anemone to release the stinging cells.

A seahorse (also written sea-horse and sea horse) is any of 46 species of small marine fish in the genus Hippocampus. "Hippocampus" comes from the Ancient Greek hippókampos (ἱππόκαμπος), itself from híppos (ἵππος) meaning "horse" and kámpos (κάμπος) meaning "sea monster"- or "sea animal". Having a head and neck suggestive of a horse, seahorses also feature segmented bony armour, an upright posture and a curled prehensile tail. Along with the pipefishes and seadragons (Phycodurus and Phyllopteryx) they form the family Syngnathidae.

The blue whale's long and slender body can be of various shades of greyish-blue dorsally and somewhat lighter underneath. Four subspecies are recognized: B. m. musculus in the North Atlantic and North Pacific, B. m. intermedia in the Southern Ocean, B. m. brevicauda (the pygmy blue whale) in the Indian Ocean and South Pacific Ocean, and B. m. indica in the Northern Indian Ocean. There is also a population in the waters off Chile that may constitute a fifth subspecies.

Sphyrna is a genus of hammerhead sharks with a cosmopolitan distribution in the world's oceans. Members of Sphyrna have a tendency to inhabit coastal waters along the intertidal zone rather than the open ocean, as their prey such as invertebrates, fish, rays, small crustaceans, and other benthic organisms hide in the sands and sediment along these zones.

Lybia tessellata is a species of small crab in the family Xanthidae. It is found in shallow parts of the tropical Indo-Pacific Ocean. Like other members of the genus Lybia, it is commonly known as the pom-pom crab or boxer crab because of its habit of carrying a sea anemone around in each of its claws, these resembling pom-poms or boxing gloves.

The beluga whale (Delphinapterus leucas) is an Arctic and sub-Arctic cetacean. It is one of two members of the family Monodontidae, along with the narwhal, and the only member of the genus Delphinapterus. It is also known as the white whale, as it is the only cetacean to regularly occur with this colour; the sea canary, due to its high-pitched calls; and the melonhead, though that more commonly refers to the melon-headed whale, which is an oceanic dolphin.

Sharks are a group of elasmobranch fish characterized by a cartilaginous skeleton, five to seven gill slits on the sides of the head, and pectoral fins that are not fused to the head. Modern sharks are classified within the clade Selachimorpha (or Selachii) and are the sister group to the Batoidea (rays and kin). Some sources extend the term "shark" as an informal category including extinct members of Chondrichthyes (cartilaginous fish) with a shark-like morphology, such as hybodonts.
The pilot fish (Naucrates ductor) is a carnivorous fish of the trevally, or jackfish family, Carangidae. It is widely distributed and lives in warm or tropical open seas. It has a circumtropical range, wider in all tropical seas. From the western Atlantic from New Scotia (Canada) to Argentina. At the junction of the Atlantic from Britain and the Biscay to Angola, the Mediterranean Sea inclusive. Near the Pacific Ocean from Vancouver Island (British Columbia, Canada) to Galapagos. The Indian Ocean has a terrible time. Near the Black Sea there is a rare species, which was also found along the shores of Turechchyn, as well as one specimen that was caught in the 19th century near the Odessa Butt.

Jellyfish (Medusozoa) are a subtype of free-swimming marine animals of the cnidarian type, which have a gelatinous body consisting of an umbrella-shaped cap and tractive tentacles. The subtype includes the classes Scyphoid (over 200 species), Stauromedusa (about 50 species), Cubomedusa (about 20 species) and Hydroid (about 1000-1500 species). The bell-shaped cap is designed for locomotion by shortening and throwing, and the stinging antennae for capturing prey. Jellyfish are common in all oceans, from its surface to great depths. Some hydroid jellyfish have chosen fresh water as their habitat.

The frilled shark (Chlamydoselachus anguineus), also known as the lizard shark, is one of the two extant species of shark in the family Chlamydoselachidae (the other is the southern African frilled shark (Chlamydoselachus africana)). The frilled shark is considered a living fossil, because of its primitive, anguilliform (eel-like) physical traits, such as a dark-brown color, amphistyly (the articulation of the jaws to the cranium), and a 2.0 m (6.6 ft)–long body, which has dorsal, pelvic, and anal fins located towards the tail. The common name, frilled shark, derives from the fringed appearance of the six pairs of gill slits at the shark's throat.

Jellyfish are found all over the world, from surface waters to the deep sea. Scyphozoans (the "true jellyfish") are exclusively marine, but some hydrozoans with a similar appearance live in freshwater. Large, often colorful, jellyfish are common in coastal zones worldwide. The medusae of most species are fast-growing, and mature within a few months then die soon after breeding, but the polyp stage, attached to the seabed, may be much more long-lived. Jellyfish have been in existence for at least 500 million years, and possibly 700 million years or more, making them the oldest multi-organ animal group.

Discus Fish Art - Symphysodon (Cichlids) have certain specifics of keeping: stable water parameters, elevated temperature, the need for large volumes for keeping. They can be called extremely sensitive, which discourages many aquarists from keeping these lovely fish. The low immunity of discus fish is associated with their natural habitat. The water in the Amazon River basin is very soft and acidic and contains large amounts of tannins. In such water, the reproduction of microorganisms is difficult, which is why discus fish are not able to properly respond to infections.

Koi carp (鯉 or コイ koi) or, more precisely, brocade carp (錦鯉 nishikigoi) are ornamental domesticated fish bred from the Amur subspecies of carp (Cyprinus carpio). Koi carp is considered to be a fish that has gone through 6 selective selections, after which it is assigned a certain category. Currently, there are many varieties of koi in Japan, but of these, only fourteen colored shapes and patterns are considered standard. This fish is mainly bred outdoors in a pond, but koi carp can also live in an aquarium.

Sometimes, due to natural mutations, some carp developed various color deviations. Such fish with a non-standard pattern were not eaten and were kept mainly for decorative purposes. Gradually, the cultivation of colored carps grew into a hobby for peasants. The owners crossed their fish, obtaining new color variations. This hobby also became popular among merchants and nobility and gradually spread throughout Japan. Sometimes koi carp, kept in castle ponds during times of constant feudal wars, were considered by the owners as an emergency supply of food in case of a long siege.

Calico Ryukin goldfish body color is white or silver. Dark and red spots of varying sizes are scattered throughout the body. Fins are black striped or completely black. (Ryukin Goldfish) is a short-bodied selective breed of goldfish, the distinctive feature of which is the presence of a characteristic body protrusion (“hump”) under the dorsal fin. From the side, the shape of the fish is similar to the helmet of a Roman legionnaire. Other common names for the fish: ryukin, nymph. These forms have earned particular popularity in Japan and the USA. Riukin is a selective form created by human hands. Such individuals cannot be found in nature. The telescope, telescope goldfish or telescope eye (Chinese: 出目金; pinyin: Chū mù jīn) is a goldfish characterized by its protruding eyes, It was first developed in the early 1700s in China, where the trait was referred to as dragon eyes.
