As a Vet, I’ve been always interested in owner-pet relationship. Beyond the scientific considerations, I’ve always paid attention to those owner-pet couples in which the animal half is incredibly similar to its human counterpart. I wonder if the owner has chosen the pet because of this similarity (or even the contrary) or this similarity is the result of years of cohabitation and proximity, the fruit of a long-lasting requited love.
Anyway, I’ve no answers to this question, which makes my interest always present in my mind. The following series is, above all, the fruit of this interest. I’ve borrowed its title from the Goethe’s novel, even if in this book he told a completely different story, I find this title really adapted.
